Aer Lingus and Iberia expand code-sharing

10 agosto 2002

Aer Lingus and Iberia are the latest pair of oneworld partners to expand code-sharing, making it easier for customers to transfer between the airlines' networks and in line with the alliance's overall strategy of deepening levels of co-operation between members.

From 27 October, the two airlines will place their marketing codes on one another's flights between Barcelona and Dublin.

At the same time, the IB code will be added to Aer Lingus' flights between London and Dublin, with connections providing alternative frequencies to their direct links between the Irish and Spanish capitals, a route on which the two carriers code-share already.

Further, Iberia will code-share on Aer Lingus flights serving Cork and Shannon to and from both Dublin and London, also providing connections to cities in Spain served by the Spanish carrier.
